The Lakers have yet again picked the best "Big Man" in the game, it started with Mikan then Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, and now Howard. Howard has the potential to be one of the greatest and he is looking like he is ready to dominate this upcoming season, but will he dominate enough to bring another championship to LA? There are several of teams that are gonna make sure that does not happen...like their stadium buddies for instance. The LA Clippers are looking better than they have in two decades. They have two MVB Candidates, Chris Paul and Blake Griffith, with a great supporting cast which embodies Grant Hill, Caron Butler, and "Big Shot" Chauncey Billups. In addition to the Clippers you have the Thunder and the Spurs who are in the Western Conference Finals, both teams looking to reach that level and much more.
The Eastern Conference seems to be a two team race between the NBA Champion Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics headlining the rivalry is the departure of Celtic shartshooter Ray Allen, who is now the sixth man for the Miami Heat. Both teams have many key additions such as Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis to the Heat and Boston adds former Sixthman Jason Terry and Courtney Lee. The Celtics also have Chris Wilcox and Jeff Green returning as well whom were injured last season. The Eastearn Conference has several major contending teams such as the Knicks, Pacers, and Nets. The East is stacked from top to bottom with alot of young talent and this is the perfect mixture of players in the NBA...young, prime, and veteran players. Then NBA has not been this competetive since the "Jordan Era". There are so many questions, lets name a few "can Carmelo get the Knicks out the first round?" , "will the Brooklyn Nets win the Playoffs?", "will Andrew Bynum be an Allstar center?", and these are just a few of the many unanswered questions for this season and the best part is that we still have 82 games left to let it all unfold!
